Challenge accepted!!!

Being a professional woman of color in any industry has its challenges and isn’t for the weak at heart. Breaking through barriers, overcoming stereotypes, and hoping to be judged upon our merits only are added underlying obstacles we face. Many assume that our pride in overcoming as being cocky but I’m here to say, that isn’t true. We understand that nothing is given to us so we put our best foot forward everyday. We strive to be better in the present day than we were the day before. We love adding to another’s success, uplifting others, and being a true team player.

Although it’s an uphill battle, we push forward and look onward. I am happy to be within this sorority of women and regardless of the circumstances, pitfalls, or obstacles I accept the challenge.
