3 Steps Ahead was a massive influence on the 90s rave scene. If you're a fan of Hardcore or Gabber you probably know how hard it is to track down those 90s DJ singles so a collection like this should be a welcome addition to any EDM fan's collection.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge — My Chemical Romance

This album needs no introduction. An emo classic, this album has been one of my favorites since middle school (though now remixed for a better listening experience than listening to it from my iPod headphones on the morning bus). “Bullets” walked so “Three Cheers” could run as the band grows in musicianship. The album tells the story of the Demolition Lovers, specifically the man as he and his lover have recently passed. The man makes a deal with the devil to send 1000 evil souls in exchange for her life and goes on a journey of darkness, violence, and despair only to find that after 999 souls, he’s the last one the devil needs. My forever favorite off this album: Ghost of You.

Crystal Castles awakens my innner 2014 angst machine. The dark electronic ambiance makes me feel like a cryptid in a haunted forest and I couldn’t ask for anything else from this album. On my way to make a grainy high contrast creepypasta and post it to tracks like Transgender or Kerosene. I ♡ you Alice Glass.
