We’re disheartened to have to address this, but it has come to our attention that a student came into the Avon shop last week, placed a backpack out of sight from staff, and proceeded to fill up her bag several times. Brand new squishies, butters, candy etc. were taken and not paid for.
As a small business owner this hurts my ability to stock my store & is a direct loss to myself and my family 💔
Please know that we do have multiple cameras on property and theft will be reported and addressed appropriately.
We get many students coming in with bags after school, unfortunately now those bags will need to be left by the door when entering going forward. BACKPACKS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE CANDY STORE.
We also have been encountering a lot of product that is being opened from its package, played with, and then not purchased. These are all losses that are detrimental to a small business.
We work very hard to create a welcoming environment. A place to come make memories and enjoy a unique shopping experience. We ask that you’re mindful of the work we put in to open our doors and keep them open while competing with all the large retailers in today’s market. It’s not easy to compete with them and theft makes it nearly impossible.
We love our new store and appreciate the many amazing people we’ve met so far who have come in and supported us, and we hope to serve the local community for many years to come!!
