When I first saw my client's post on Facebook, I had no idea that I was going to be transported into a beautiful story about a bride who lost one of the most important people of her life and then almost lost the love of her life.
Initially this started out as her looking for somebody to alter her original wedding dress so that she could wear it to her vow renewal ceremony in Hawaii. They decided they were going to do an intimate ceremony and renew their vows after he survived a very traumatic medical emergency.
As many of you know, I closed down my alterations department about 2 years ago but something told me to comment on this post. So I threw my hat in the ring.
Little did I know that she would make the decision to take her reception dress instead and turn it into her vow renewal dress. But this reception dress was very special to my bride. Because it was the very last dress she got to pick out with her mother.

This story and this commission are the exact reasons why I started my brand in the first place. I got to not only make a beautiful dress that she will be able to continue to wear but I also got to preserve a special part of her memory.
