We live in a world that celebrates pride as a virtue—but Scripture reveals it as a poison.

Pride was at the heart of the first rebellion against God, and it still lies beneath every sin: the desire to exalt ourselves, rule ourselves, and live without our Creator.

God does not admire pride. He opposes it.

So we should not protect it, excuse it, or dress it up as confidence. We should recognize it for what it is, hate what it produces, and ask God to tear it out by the root.

Pride builds a throne for self. Humility gives that throne back to God.

God Hates Pride.
