A very good friend of mine got married yesterday and I’m a little emo about it. Not only was she the most gorgeous bride, but she put so much effort into making sure the people AROUND her feel special. I’m not even sure how to put into words how it felt to watch her walk down the aisle in shoes I painted for her. I’m speechless.

You guys voted!! 90s retro shoes for Milo and I tell ya these are giving me allllll the wind-breaker, jogger, track suit feels!

When I first started selling my shoes, someone I admire told me “don’t stop creating for yourself!” I didn’t really understand it when I heard it, but now I get it. I LOVE collaborating with people, I constantly create things that wouldn’t have made on my own. Creating for yourself is much different in the fact that there’s no one helping to make decisions, there’s ZERO pressure, and you get to enjoy the results. Every thing I’ve made for myself has stretched my creativity in a different way than collaboration.
