Awakened By Loss If you’ve found your way here, welcome. You’re not alone. We weren’t taught how to live with grief, only how to survive it.

Awakened By Loss is here to bring understanding, hope, meaningful resources, and the reminder that love continues. 💙

After losing someone we love, sometimes the smallest moments bring the greatest comfort. A bird that appears at just the right time. An animal that seems to notice something we can't. A moment that makes us stop and think of them.
Not everyone believes these are signs, and that's okay. But when something brings us a little peace or makes us feel close to someone we miss, that feeling can mean everything.
Have you ever had an experience that felt like a little hello from someone you love? ❤

Sometimes staying busy is how we get through the day after losing someone we love. And that's okay.
But we also deserve moments to acknowledge the hurt instead of constantly pushing it aside.
Grief isn't something we have to outrun. And finding moments of peace doesn't mean we've forgotten the person we're missing. ❤

Grief can leave you wondering how you're supposed to build a future when the person you wanted in it is gone.
But moving forward doesn't mean moving away from the people we've lost. We can bring their love, their memories, and everything they taught us into the life we're still living.
We may not have chosen this road, but we still deserve to find beautiful things along the way. ❤️

One of those conversations families rarely think to have. ❤️
When someone we love is cremated, we often think about where their ashes will stay today. But what about 20, 50, or even 100 years from now? Making our wishes known can help future generations understand what matters to us and why.
Some conversations about death are uncomfortable, but they're worth having. ❤

10/17/2026

Death was once a much more visible part of everyday life. From mourning clothes to burial traditions, the way people prepared for loss tells us so much about how differently generations have approached death. Some of these customs are hard to imagine today.

10/16/2026

Sometimes the most loving thing you can say to someone grieving is, “I know this hurts, and I'm not going anywhere.” Grief doesn't need to be turned into something positive. Sometimes it simply needs to be acknowledged. ❤

10/16/2026

Grief doesn’t ask if it’s a good time. You can try to outrun it, but it will wait until life is less busy.
It doesn’t care about birthdays, work schedules, holidays, or grocery lists.
It arrives uninvited.
Sometimes quietly.
Sometimes all at once.
And if today feels heavier than yesterday, that doesn’t mean you’re moving backward.
Grief doesn’t ask permission.
And healing doesn’t follow a schedule.

10/14/2026

Sometimes the death of someone we love changes more than our individual lives. It changes our relationships with the people who are grieving alongside us. Different ways of grieving can create distance where we once felt closest. And sometimes, everyone is hurting too much to know how to reach one another. ❤

10/13/2026

Grief can make us incredibly hard on ourselves. We question what we did, what we didn’t do, and why we’re not handling life the way we used to. But those thoughts aren’t always telling us the truth. You deserve some of the kindness you so freely give everyone else. ❤️

Have you ever experienced a moment after losing someone that felt too meaningful to simply brush aside? ❤️ We don’t all interpret signs the same way, and that’s okay. I believe there’s room for curiosity, personal experience, and the possibility that love reaches beyond what we can physically see. 💜
