🟥VIDEO: 😿Meet Miss Kitty https://youtube.com/shorts/9xd4uDKs5TU?feature=share
😿Miss Kitty is a 7 year old female who came in as an owner surrender on 5/22. Owner noted that she “loves strangers & children, unsure how she acts around dogs, and aggressive towards other cats. She does not want her head rubbed. She is still eating & drinking but less, and is using the bathroom normally.” Unfortunately, Miss Kitty does have elevated liver enzymes, is severely icteric (jaundiced), is moderately dehydrated, and muscle wasted. Due to her condition, she is looking for urgent placement out of shelter by end of day today 5/22.

5/22 Owner
Miss Kitty is not eating- tried a ton of different foods but will now only eat broth. Seems unable to eat any hard food/ anything they need to chew without struggling.
Took to offsite vet who did blood work (attaching documents and vet notes) and gave meds which helped but are expensive. Continued treatment and feeding her the food she need would be too expensive for them. Cat has diarrhea as well.
Behavior
Staff 5/22
“I watched staff interact with Miss Kitty, and she’s pretty adorable! Despite what she is going through, she allowed pets, and especially enjoyed having her chin rubbed. She leaned in very heavily & closed her eyes in happiness.”
