Spring is nearing and so are the bridal and prom seasons! As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have cut down on my workload in preparation for retirement at the end of the year. I appreciate all the kind referrals, not just this year but since I began this business.
At the present time I am fully booked until August and cannot accept any additional bridal gowns. There is some wriggle room with bridesmaids, moms and other formalwear. But I cannot guarantee availability as I get requests daily.

Good morning! I pray we all stay safe with the forecast for epic amounts of snow in the next couple days; personally I love snow but I know not all people do.

It has come to my attention that some of my responses to potential clients on my website may be going to their spam folder, in which case the recipient may think that I have not responded at all. I take pride in trying to respond within a three day time span, however, I do not feel the need to hunt down people as to why they may or may not have responded. In that I am actively trying to slow down my business, I really don’t want people to think I am stalking them for business. So if someone reading this has contacted me in the past and did not receive a response back from me, please do the following:

Check your email spam folder. If no response is found there, then please use my Facebook business page, which is named The Perfect Fit by JK.

I wish to also take this time to pass along this information; I will be limiting my bridal clients (wedding gowns) to 4/month and my bridesmaid/mom’s dresses to 8/month. January already exceeded those numbers and February is already full for bridal gowns. It pays to contact me early as these limited time slots will fill up quickly. It is my intention to slowly ease of out this business; for the past two years, I have found myself working 7 days a week, which is far more than I wish to be working. I love what I do but it is time for me to slow down and enjoy my family more.

Hello! Due to multiple circumstances, I find I am unable to accommodate any additional work requests at this time. I am completely booked until the end of October. I also need to share that I am trying to regain control of my life…I’ve worked hard to create my business and help it grow. I have loved working with my clients these past 7 years but I find I will need to start being much more selective and restrictive in the number of new clients I will be taking in the future. If you have already scheduled an appointment, no worries, but if you are a new client looking for help, I may not be able to accommodate you. I find it hard to say no to people, but I am working 7 days a week right now and that is not a healthy way to live life.

After nearly 6 years at my current location, I have made the decision to move my business back to my home. Many circumstances entered into this decision, but this seems like the right time to do this. I'm not shutting down my business completely, but will be cutting down my workload substantially. After retiring from a full time nursing position 6 years ago, I moved into a more than full time business owner. I love what I do and this decision to slow down a bit did not come easily, as I love my clients and I love what I do!
My plan is to be out of my present location on Clocktower Drive by the end of October. Current clients with appointments after October 31 will be served at my home location and they have all been made aware of this.
Both my website and my FB page will remain active.

The shop will be considered open again starting next week. However, I will be limiting the number of appointments as well as the number of people in the shop. Face masks will be required of clients; I will also be masked. As always, appointments are required; absolutely no walk ins will be serviced.

I would request that clients email or text me (if you contacted me through my website (www.theperfectfitbyjk.com) you will have my cell number) when you arrive and I can let you in. Due to the new routine, clients will need to be on time. If you are running more than 10 minutes late, we will need to reschedule.

This will be our new normal for awhile and I thank you for understanding!

As my previous post indicated, the shop is very busy...because of that I cannot accept walk-ins. I run an appointment only business and would request that people making referrals to please make it clear to the people you are referring, that they need to contact me through this web page or my business website. I truly appreciate the referrals!

I had to turn someone away today due to a walk in situation. I don’t like saying no to someone, but this is a day/week I reserve for myself to get the work done on the dresses I have.
