The Red Squirrel interpretation of the old fashioned bee skep. Bee skeps were basically upturned baskets under which bees were kept to form hives in the 18th and early 19th century. Rarely used by bee keepers today, they are used mainly for decoration only. Ours is for indoor use only.

Getting down to the wire for the South County Craft Show on Saturday. Frustration and anxiety abound this morning. For anyone interested, here's the key to making crafts: adhesives. Yup, it's all about adhesives. I can dream stuff up, engineer it, bend it, build it, and paint it. But, if it don't stick, it's all over. Elmers, hot, E6000, silicone, weldbond, and gorilla, got them all. If you want to send me some good vibes, I could use it.

Well next Saturday is the big day! The Red Squirrel & Co. will be participating in the South County High School holiday craft fair. This year we are back in the gym (so they say). Hope you can stop by and see us. Several new things as well as old favorites.

Finished this bike wheel wreath. They were cast offs from my son’s cycling club. I also begged for old bike chains and gears. Our motto at RS& Co.: “ Don’t throw that out. I can make something with that!”
