✨SOLD✨ This unusual piece is headed to its new owner who just can’t wait to receive it. Mourning jewelry is certainly a niche that’s not for everyone, but this piece of history will be honored and well loved, just as it was in my possession.

I researched the name and date of death to try to find an ancestor, because I felt pulled to try to make the connection. Unfortunately, I didn’t turn up any promising leads.

While it was listed on Etsy, a stranger slid a nasty gram into my DMs calling me disrespectful, equating it to selling a tombstone, and saying that I didn’t treat this item with any honor.

I cried. I chose not to respond. This person would never know my heart or understand that all I wanted was to find it a good home where it would be respected and treasured for years to come.

Happy Christmas! We’re in the middle of big house projects, so minimal decorating to the rescue. This 4-foot aluminum tree was just right! While the tree and spinning stand are vintage, the Shiny Brite ornaments are new. Still cute!
