Hey fellow STL people -- did you know one of the best tanneries in the world is located less than a mile north of the Arch? Hermann Oak has been operating since 1881, making some of the best leather in the world.
They focus on "vegetable tanning", using organic based tannins and chemicals. Where this type of leather once made up over 95% of all leathers made, it's now less than 5%. But it is the best.
Love working with it, like in this belt in British Brown. Quality leather means a quality product that will last years.
