Let’s break it down. Whenever a suit or sport coat has a strong pattern, I recommend a shirt with ‘white space’ which breaks up the pattern and creates depth. That’s exactly what John has done with this suit, pairing a white striped shirt with a navy windowpane suit. Yes, a striped shirt with windowpane suit is a great choice! ✅

The tie compliments the outfit without competing for the spotlight. Additional color options for ties would be shades of: red, pink, purple, or yellow. ❤️💕💜💛

Do you ever see someone who is wearing an outfit you like and think, "How did they do that?" Allan (and his dog Moses) are pros at putting outfits together. 🐶

For sport coat outfits, I like to encourage clients to start with the jacket first, then match the trouser, shirt, shoe, and (optional) tie or bow tie so it's not overwhelming. 👔👖👞
