I lost my dad yesterday. 2 weeks ago his mind went totally bonkers. The doctors told us he had a rare form of dementia and that this was going to be fast. He spent one week in the hospital and then we moved him to Bethesda on Telegraph in South County and he spent one week there. My dad was a good man. He was the most helpful person I have ever known.
11 years ago when I had cancer my parents moved in with Kevin and I so that he could take care of me. I know that I am alive today because of the care that I got from him. There was absolutely nothing that he would not have done for me!
My heart aches because I will miss him so very much, but it aches even more for my sweet mom. When I went to bed last night I was researching the bible for the readings for his mass, and suddenly I felt his presence. He smiled and me and said "Honey you did a good job, and Heaven is real!"
I know where he is and I know he is already have a great time with all of our family and friends who went before him.
The picture is my son Brad and my dad at Brad's wedding. Brad has helped me so much with the care of my parents, and my Dad just simply adored him.

I saw this and it made me laugh

Just be careful because people are going crazy from being in lock down! Actually I've just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster while drinking coffee and all of us agreed that things are getting heated. I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as she puts a different spin on everything. Certainly not to the fridge as he is acting cold and distant. In the end the iron calmed me down as she said everything will be fine, no situation is too pressing.
The vacuum was very unsympathetic... told me to just suck it up, but the fan was more optimistic and hoped it would all soon blow over!. The toilet looked a bit flushed when I asked its opinion and didn’t say anything but the door k**b told me to get a grip. The front door said I was unhinged and so the curtains told me to... yes, you guessed it... pull myself together. I stole this from A friend!
