One thing I’ve learned as a business owner… you have to build a BRAND, not just sell a product. 💯

A product can be duplicated. An overseas vendor can sell to multiple people. Trends come and go. But a strong brand is what separates you.

Having an LLC is a great first step, but an LLC alone does not protect your brand!! Take the next steps — trademark your business name, copyright your original designs, put your identity into your work, and build something people recognize as YOURS.

Competition is everywhere. Lee’s Chicken is right across the street from Church’s Chicken on Natural Bridge and Lucas & Hunt. Bounty paper towels sit right next to Viva paper towels in EVERY store.

Do they fight because they both sell chicken? Do they fight because they both sell paper towels? No. They focus on giving their customers a reason to choose THEM.

At the end of the day, customers have choices — and that’s okay. Let them choose. Everybody is not your customer, and what’s meant for you will always find you.

Build bigger. Think bigger. Protect yourself. Don’t just create products… create a BRAND. ✨
