After finding this gorgeous print in the wild, I had to know more about its origins. Howard Smith (1928- 2021) was a Philadelphia-born African American artist who made his way to Finland in the 1960s and created a thriving multimedia career. His works can be found in the , Museum of African American Art in LA and . I added a post on the blog that includes a link to his archive for anyone interested in learning more!

Just dropped off this beautiful antique Victorian walnut wardrobe at ! Really wanted this for my own home but was unfortunately just not in the cards.

I’m so drawn to that notched tramp art-esque detailed trim on the doors. Obsessed! It’s a great size for those closet-deficient old city homes. Would make a great coat closet with baskets on the shelves for hats, gloves, leashes, tote bags and whatever else you need to head out the door.
