One of the best of the best! Antique 1850s album appliqué with vessel floral border detail in red and green on a cream background.

Such amazing detail

this Quilt measures 82 x 80”

It is masterfully hand appliquéd with a tiny button hole stitch, and then hand quilted at an amazing 14 stitches per inch. The hand work is just beyond beautiful and so precise.

The flaws are very few, most prominently there is age/tan spotting and light foxing(this is a very light tan age spotting from long-term storage) The photos depict the worst examples of the age spotting, but there is more that was not photographed.

There is one tiny tear in a red flower, see photo

Overall, this Quilt displays beautifully and is an excellent example of early American trapunto, appliqué and hand quilting.

Unfortunately, we do not have provenance as this one was collected in Arizona without any history or owner name.

Certainly worthy of the finest collection!

1. Vintage 1940s appliqué quilt featuring two babies slumbering amongst flowers and birds. 38 x 29“ hand quilted seven stitches per inch. Excellent condition with some very light binding wear. $145

2. Red and white cross stitch album Quilt from a Mennonite farm in Lancaster Pennsylvania. 52 x 44“ hand quilted at eight stitches per inch, hand bound. Never washed. Please note the tiny spot and aged tanning.$125

1. Darling mama duck with her baby ducks 64 x 42” hand quilted seven stitches per inch using a tiny three-quarter inch grid work, hand bound. Excellent condition with some very slight wear on the binding, see photo.$145

2. Wonderful vintage children’s sampler Quilt featuring nursery rhyme characters and dated 1966. Large size 76 x 66“ hand quilted at eight stitches per inch, hand bound each block is a art piece in itself. Just stunning hand work. No damage.$195

3. Pre-quilted embroidered storytime with mama bunny and baby bunnies hand embroidered. The background is a light green and the embroidery is done in dark green. Hard to capture but it’s very sweet. 53 x 35” no damage. $65

All baskets are intact, some have faded

Measure measures 57 x 54”

Expertly hand quilted at 10 tiny stitches per inch, hand bound

Very good condition with just some aged tanning/dye migration as shown in the photo
