Here’s a glasses-care tip that can save you from a lot of tiny scratches:

If your lenses are dusty or gritty, don’t immediately start rubbing them with a cloth. Rinse the debris away first, then clean them.

Dragging tiny particles across a dry lens is basically very, very fine sandpaper.

Quick trivia: Why are lenses called “lenses”?
The word comes from the Latin lens, meaning… lentil.
Apparently somebody looked at the curved shape of a lentil, looked at a piece of optical glass and said, “Yep. Same thing.”

Regular sunglasses reduce brightness. Polarization specifically helps cut reflected glare coming off surfaces like pavement, water and other vehicles.
Once you’ve driven in a good polarized pair on a bright day, it’s very hard to go back. 😎
