BIG BIG BIG NEWS!! as of September 1st, 2024 Bonita’s Alterations is moving to a new location at 236 E. Front Street, Statesville, North Carolina. This is the same street, but on the east end of Front Street. We are located inside Betty‘s School of Dance. The dance school does not operate during the same hours that Bonitas Alterations does. so, we have put a ring doorbell at the front door for our customers to alert Bonita that they are here. She will then come to the door and let them in. As we have since 2022, we are working only on wedding gowns and other formal wear for ladies, like prom dresses and formal wear associated with weddings. We work by appointment only. Please call 704-878-2351 for an appointment. We look forward to serving you.

Bonita’s Alterations is now specializing in wedding gowns and formalwear.  We work by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling us at 704-878-2351. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM - 4 PM. We take a one hour lunch from Noon until 1:00 p.m. each day. 

WE WILL NO LONGER BE ALTERING REGULAR CLOTHING THAT IS NOT A WEDDING GOWN OR OTHER FORMAL WEAR.

Bonita has been really busy with wedding gowns. Many brides have postponed their weddings and are now moving forward with their plans. If you are one of these, be sure to make an appointment so Bonita can get you on schedule to give you a perfectly fitting gown.

Bonita’s Alterations is opening on Tuesday May 12 for regular business hours 9-5 with 1 hour lunch break at noon. Rules for Covid-19 protection:

1. Must wear a mask.

2. Customers must social distance within the shop.

3. Only two customers in the shop at one time.

We will be making masks for healthcare givers while our regular business is on hold. We are grateful to be able to contribute in this effort.

Betty's School of Dance recently produced a wonderful show of "The Nutcracker" at Mac Gray Auditorium. The mice were created by Bonita as well as the jacket for The Prince. You never know where you may see Bonita's talents displayed. It may be at school, a wedding, the Heart Fund Ball, a horse show, Dancing with the Iredell Stars, at church, or just walking down the street.
