Lightweight yet sumptuous, the 1940s era Equestrian themed tablecloth will set the tone for your hunt country event perfectly.

On a subtle and flowing damask weave is a border print of English riders on the hunt for fox, deer, and rabbit, with their hounds leading the way. A warm autumn’s day is indicated by the browed hues of turning trees against the evergreen foliage.

In the center of the tablecloth is a wreath of horseshoes stylized into red ribbons, along with oak leaves, and acorns. A similar garland adorns the border all around the tablecloth at the skirt’s edge.

This 1940s/early 50s-era printed tablecloth features male and female riders in full riding apparel with striking red jackets set off against the woody background.

SIZE: 59.5” x 48.5”. The central wreath is 20” wwide by 17.5” long. The riding figures are roughly 2.5-3” w X 3-4” long. $229. But on sale now through Friday in our

RARE! Listed with the intention of museum-level preservation or for serious collectors of Americana. Fabric has flaws.

This 19th century Americana-themed glazed chintz from the 1920s features vignettes depicting songs by American composer Stephen Foster. Included on this sample piece are the songs “Oh Susannah!,” “Old Folks at Home,” and “Jeannie with the Light Brown Hair.” Vignettes feature huntsmen/pioneer me playing the banjo around a frontier campfire, a Romantic-era (hoop skirt era) couple courting around a homestead, and a riverside plantation couple strolling their grounds to the strumming of a minstrel musician (note, listed for conservation purposes).

This piece should be of special interest to those who preserve depictions of 19th century life, including its controversial aspects. Museum curators, serious collectors, and critics will see the value of preserving a piece of this nature.

Additionally, lovers of vintage fabric for quilting would treasure this as a fabric gift. Truly a unique find.

Stephen Collins Foster was a 19th century American composer of ordinary parlor music for everyday entertainment. He was often called the “father of American music.” Recontextualized in the 21st century, and subject to presentism, Foster has faced the charge of racism leveled at others of his era. We present this work as a piece of its time by a significant contributor to American music and intended for conservation or collection purposes.

SIZE: 36” wide x 43.5. $329 w/ free shipping in the US. Click our link in bio > products > find the pic and click through to see/buy in our Etsy shop Lady Virginia Vintage Fabrics.

This gorgeous 1960s-era Brunschwig et Fils piece titled “Oxford,” is a perfect example of the rich Indienne style going back to the 16th century and even before. Some consider this floral style to be Jacobean — strictly speaking Jacobean is a bit more open work and is more a wool crewel application rather than a print or illustration style.

Twisting, knotted branches resolve into oversized blossoms in varying sizes and shapes, each vibrantly expressive. Some are lotus-like, others medallions, still others small clusters like Candytuft. Crisp foliage cups and points round out the motif.

SIZE: 23.5” wide x 51” long. ONLY PIECE. Enough here for up to three lumbar pillow fronts, a tiny valance, pretty lampshade, fabulous tote (line for strength), and much more. $89 w/ free shipping in the US. The design for this fabric was an English copperplate from 1761. The print is sometimes referred to as “Peacock Among the Ruins.” But that’s not the only naming controversy. The Colonial Williamsburg research department writes about it that, “In describing an English copperplate print, like that reproduced in the chamber over the (Governor’s Palace) Dining Room, it is best not to use the term ‘toile,’ even though it has been named ‘Jones Toile’ for merchandising purposes. I would suggest that you describe it as ‘a reproduction of a 1761 English copperplate print.’”

A stunning Colonial Williamsburg/Williamsburg Restoration upholstery fabric, this 1952 piece is described by the Colonial Williamsburg Collections as depicting, “...a pastoral scene with a seated shepherd playing a flute and a woman spinning with a distaff among broken columns. There are various farm animals at the edge of a stream including a dog, ram, sheep, and cow. Dogs chasing a stag separate this scene from the one below, in which a peacock, hen, rooster, chicks, and ducks are seen near a carved urn on a pedestal and a ruined tomb.”

Schumacher did a notable collection of these restoration pieces in the 1950s and since.

Usable for pillow fronts, a message board, an oversized tote, a small Roman shade, and more. It has famously been simply framed as fabric art.

Along with the Colonial Williamsburg Restoration logo and the name “Jones Toile” the selvage reads, “A Williamsburg Fabric Reproduction by Schumacher & Co.” and the date, 1952.
