We’re halfway through Pisces Season, a time when we’re invited to slow down enough to listen — not just to what’s happening around us, but to what’s unfolding quietly inside us. A time when imagination, inspiration, and synchronicities speak a little louder, and especially so this year with a rare Neptune-Saturn conjunction at the beginning of Aries.

To help you tune into that current, we’ve curated a conversation between Lila’s Ricky Williams and Astrology Hub founder Amanda Walsh — 6 Questions to Activate Your Neptune.

We chose Amanda for this conversation intentionally. Neptune, the modern planetary ruler of Pisces, is her strongest planet, in the 10th House of her natal chart.  To boot, her Sun also resides in her 12th House, so she naturally embodies the feel of Pisces Season.

In a few short hours, on Wednesday, February 18th at 7:52 AM Pacific / 10:52 AM Eastern Time, we cross the threshold into Pisces Season 2026.

It’s the third of the three phases of the 90-day Winter Season. A time when the boundaries of the visible world grow porous, the ego loosens its grip, and we’re reminded of the ephemeral nature of life on Earth.

Today we celebrate Oprah Winfrey, her Strongest Planet Uranus in Cancer, and her most unusual life:

1. Her unique name. Fun fact: her birth name is Orpah, after the biblical figure in the Book of Ruth. But her family mispronounced it “Oprah” and it stuck. The originality of Uranus emerged instantly for this little Aquarius Sun within her family nest.

2. She revolutionized the American living room. Credited with creating a more intimate form of media communication, she swiftly popularized and made the tabloid talk show genre pioneered by Phil Donahue her own. The WSJ even coined a term for it, “Oprahfication”, to mean public confession as a form of therapy. That’s Uranus in Cancer: breaking the rules around showing emotion and the wounds in our inner worlds.⁠

3. She broke the mold. A black girl is born into poverty in 1954 rural Mississippi and survives abuse and a stillborn pregnancy at 14 — the most unexpected of people to build one of the most influential and lucrative media empires in history. That’s Uranian disruption of the highest order: a lightning bolt through the ancestral story that says “people like you don’t get to do things like that.”⁠

4. She redefined love and partnership. Oprah and Stedman Graham have shared a steady, decades-long relationship since the 1980s—without ever getting married. No wedding rings, no name changes, no performance of tradition. Just enduring loyalty, respect, and freedom outside of conventional norms. And yes, she’s the breadwinner. That’s Uranus in Cancer again, with hers in her 7th House of marriage — rewriting what “home” and “husband” can look like.

Oprah shows us what it looks like to mother the future—not by repeating the past, but by learning to love ourselves into new possibilities. Happy Solar Return, Ms. Winfrey, and thank you for being a tremendous Uranian role model for generations to come.
