I can't believe school starts in under a month, which means I'll have a fresh kinder, 2nd grader, & preschooler!!

This also means the start of year one PlayMakers MicroSchool is almost here!! Until then I'll be soaking up the last days of summer, while subsequently organizing/preparing our learning space and prepping all the learning goodies from !

I still have two spaces for older 3 & 4yos! If you know anyone who might be interested please share or apply with the link in my bio!

Just over here signing 'gray, gray, go away......'

Dreaming of sunshine, rainbows, and bright cheery days. We've had a pretty mild winter and it's making me nervous that all of a sudden it's going to show up in April. And that will NOT be okay.

I hope your day is bright and productive (ps making your kids lunch or putting dishes in dishwasher counts as productive in my books!)

There's nothing like waking up () to one kid with a fever, another throwing up, and the third with diarrhea 🥴.

One week of school germs 🦠 and it knocks us off our almost 5 week health streak, I guess I'll call it a win.

I 100% did chair yoga, in high waisted jeans today. While I do recommend trying chair yoga, I do not recommend doing it in high-waisted jeans but sometimes you gotta fit in a workout when you can😂.

PS there's still a few holiday/winter Playdough jars & stamps left in stock. There might also be a sale if you head to Etsy. Shop closes Friday night until 2023!

For the first time ever I was able to volunteer in my son's classroom. It filled my mama cup & burst my teacher heart. I LOVE being home with my little dudes, but I also miss the excitement (& craziness) of teaching.

If you have a school age kiddo and can't physically volunteer during the day, did you know you can always offer help from home? From sorting papers, prepping activities, even just sharpening pencils. There's always something a teacher can use help with and will appreciate!

PS- if you're still looking for Hanukkah gifts or just for fun activities, I still have one Hanukkah box and 3 Hanukkah jars!

Happy Thanksgiving PlayMakers!

While we don't celebrate tgiving traditionally like most.... Insert Whole foods hot bar & dessert. We still discuss what we're grateful for. I stretched my kids thinking this morning by listening to Giving Thanks: A Native American Good Morning Message by Jake Swap (which is so beautifully written& illustrated) to move past 'candy'🤪 and towards more thoughtful answers.

We also talked about how the sweet little town we live in, originally called Scht'lǝqwǝm, was actually named after the Steilacoom tribe, it means the people of the Indian Pink area, a pink flowering plant that grew abundantly. So much history in our town.

Here's to educating our children about who lived here before us, how to respect the world/people around us, and the history of this beautiful land.

I'm just over here pretending that this ☀️ happiness is currently shining through my window. (Yes I know we need rain, it's been a while.)

With holiday breaks on the horizon I'm on the lookout for some fun family friendly games. Ages 8 & under.

What are your go to's??

We love snakes& ladders, guess who, eye spot it (busy town & Disney), race to the treasure, Candy Land, Spot it (all of them ... If you have Christmas I'll buy it from you🤪), don't break the ice, and a few others.
