A message from Edie regarding the CORVID-19 crisis.

I am rescheduling my upcoming appointments at Face First Stigler/Poteau. The well being of my clients, family, and friends is my upmost concern and I take my responsibilities as a nurse and as a health care provider very seriously.

While I feel my odds of contracting COVID-19 and transmitting the virus are slim and I am strongly against invoking pandemonium among the population, I have recently traveled out of state and I cannot, with good conscience, provide medical services to my clientele at this current time. Our clinics have strong measures in place to deter the spread of illness and viruses, but as stated above, I feel it’s necessary to put my clients at ease and eliminate any possibility, even if a very small possibility, of spreading the virus should I have come in contact with it. I have no way of knowing if I came into contact with an infected person or carrier, and I also have no way of knowing that I did not. This is not a decision I made lightly, as it affects my family, my employees, and my employees families.

I continue to urge people to use good hand washing and good common sense with this viral outbreak. I also feel that the impact on our economy will be felt by millions. These are extremely hard decisions for our local, state, and federal government and business owners. Please remember small businesses in your community and also do your part to spend your money local as much as possible.

While it’s easy to be critical of guidelines and mandates currently being enforced, keep in mind that officials are basing decisions on worse case scenario and there is no definitive answer to what is the right course of action.

And above all, please pray for our nation’s leaders to make the best possible decisions at this time to keep our country healthy and to help our economy thrive during trying times.

We will keep you informed on our social media sites of any changes to our scheduling and hours of operation. Thank you for your understanding of this matter.
