It was 1989 when Joan Krenning manufactured her first headwrap and women’s thermal top inspired by the biker culture, under the name “From Rags to Riches”. It was the beginning of quite a journey...

The brand name of Design Wraps was founded in Colorado by Joan Krenning in 1996. Joan began with 1 style of head wrap, 1 size of head wrap and 12 fabrics. The product was an instant success in the motorcycle culture. Today, 16 years after the Design Wrap Brands was created, we continue to honor our founder`s commitment. 100% of our headwear and apparel sold globally are sewn by American hands, using materials knit and woven in the USA as well as some imported materials. When possible, we obtain materials from US suppliers. At times, due to availability or quality reasons, there is a need to import components, from foreign sources. Design Wrap's dedication to always be “Assembled in the USA” has never wavered. Joan has always stressed the importance of controlling the fabrics, design and construction and her commitment to the American workforce is inspiring.
