Dreaming of Zinnias and pet ducks! My favorite place to get my Zinnia seeds is the Dollar Store- I have had the best of luck and they are much cheaper then anywhere else. I already have 20 boxes tucked away and can't wait to have a large border again this year for picking and for the chickens to enjoy for snacks!

What flowers do you like to grow in the spring? Will you get your seeds in the winter? Do you map out your garden beds with annuals and perennials? I've already started drawing out my garden plans and my landscape ideas so I can split and change up my front entryways~

Just a little country Christmas outdoor decor. With snow in the forecast I always try and use all the warm days to make the almost frozen yard cozy & inviting.

To keep things budget friendly I always trim my own greens and clip dried hydrangeas. I have kept my birch branches year after year & have sprayed ugly mix match lanterns red to add some pops of color.

Things I have purchased are dollar store poinsettias and sparkly picks, glittery red swirl twigs & glittery red snowflakes from hobby lobby & plastic ornaments to fill lanterns from Walmart. Year after year I add to my classic Christmas decor and it keeps things on budget and festive.

I have added to the spaces I decorate each year and it’s made it fun and approachable- doing a similar set up each year makes it less overwhelming and I can mentally divide the work load.

First year here I just did porch pots around the house, 2nd year was the same, third year we added in the fence & pine trees, and now 4th year we have added some glitz to the garden & flower beds.

I love decorating the outside for winter because it’s so cold for so long here and having something green brings me joy and pretty lights when the sun sets keeps me feeling cheery.

How do you keep your spirits bright during the winter? I recently had someone say I over due the holidays but I was reminded in my heart that decorating has always made me happy so it’s not work it’s simply fun.
