Four years ago I set out to build a storefront for Scruffs Vintage Guitars. Somewhere along the way it turned into something bigger than that. I wanted a place where you could plug into a guitar and actually hear what it’s capable of, and if the mood struck, just keep going and make a record.
That became Pure Honey Recording, out on 2,800 acres of Texas hill country. We leaned all the way into analog recording, and we built the space to work for musicians, friends, and folks coming to try out a guitar or amp, all under one roof. We wanted buyers to have something truly unique, a real chance to sit with a guitar instead of a quick strum in a busy music store. Come try something out, come record, stay as long as you like, and if you want to make a trip of it, spend the night in one of the cabins here on the ranch.
When you visit you get our full attention. No interruptions, no rush, just good gear and time to actually hear what it sounds like in your hands.
