National Police Memorial Week begins Monday, May 15, 2023, on Police Memorial Day, proclaimed by President John F. Kennedy in 1962.

To honor Texas Law Enforcement officers who have fallen in the line of duty this past year, on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 9:30 AM, Dumas Police Department will be joined by other county, state, and local law enforcement agencies at the Dumas Cemetery on FM 722, for a memorial service. Members of the public are invited and encouraged to attend.

We will also have a special remembrance for Dumas Police Department Chief Marvin Trejo and Officer Iram Avila.
