We're often met with puzzlement or the statement that "it won't make a difference" when we recommend giving our finished yarns a final wash or steam, however, it does make a huge difference in your final yarn!
Here we have two skeins of 75% Columbia, 25% Angora yarn we just finished here at the mill-- the skein on the right is straight off the skein wonder, and the skein on the left has been steamed. See how the yarn has bloomed and fluffed up? It's a fantastic, squishy, elastic yarn, compared to the stretched out and limp yarn on the right.
Wash your skeins, you won't regret it!
