On January 30 my best friend and partner of almost 18 years left this world quietly. Fancy clothes and a new car were not on his radar.
He didn’t carry his cell phone everywhere but he always had a screw driver or head lamp in his back pocket in case he needed to fix something He would have a cold beer most late afternoons either outside or in the barn where his latest project was happening When he retired from being a stone mason he worked with me in the business of flowers, packing a van like no one else could, hydrating flowers, learning their names and creating anything I needed to build. He would drive anytime of the day or night to pick up flowers or break down events I went to the flower market today to begin my season and I felt like I left something at home. When walking into the building with the scent and beauty he loved too it made me happy that he was a part of it for many year. I carry you in my heart everyday and I will love you forever Rest in peace my dear Evan
