Condemnation tells us to hide.

Jesus invites us to come close. 🤍

For a long time, when I felt ashamed of something, my instinct was to pull away from the Lord.

To avoid prayer.
To avoid sitting with Him.
To feel like I needed to “get myself together” before I could come back into His presence.

But John 15 reminds us that fruit comes from abiding.

We do not become more like Jesus by running from Him.

We are changed as we remain with Him.

As we look to the cross and remember what He has already done for us, shame loses its grip and intimacy begins to grow again.

Love.
Joy.
Peace.
Patience.
Kindness.
Goodness.
Faithfulness.
Gentleness.
Self-control.

These things are fruit of the Spirit — fruit that grows from relationship with Him, not from condemning ourselves into better behavior.

So if you feel ashamed today and your first instinct is to hide from God...

come near instead. 🤍

Bring Him the mess.
Bring Him the failure.
Bring Him the fear.
Bring Him the part of you that still needs changing.

He already knows.

And He still wants you close.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus...” — Romans 8:1

Stay near, friend. 🌿
Let Him love you.
Let Him teach you.
Let Him change you from that place of intimacy.

I barely had enough time to fit this testimony into three minutes, but I wanted to share it because God has been so faithful. 🤍

Looking back, I can see His hand in places I did not understand at the time.

There were doors I thought were supposed to open that didn’t.

There were things I questioned.

There were moments I could not see what He was doing.

But He was still working.

And now, years later, I can look back and say with so much gratitude:

God is good.

He is loving.

He is faithful.

And He deserves all the glory, honor, and praise forever and ever. 🤍

I also want to ask you to pray for the two friends I mentioned in this video.

I believe God has not forgotten them.

He has plans for them.

He loves them deeply.

And Scripture tells us that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” — James 5:16

So if you feel led, please agree with me in prayer for their lives — that they would encounter Jesus, be strengthened, restored, delivered, and drawn into everything He has for them.

I do not share this testimony to point to myself.

I share it because there is a God who can take what looks broken, confusing, delayed, or impossible and work it together for good.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
Romans 8:28

All glory belongs to Jesus. Forever and ever. 🤍

The Lord keeps bringing me back to this message: just keep following Jesus. 🤍

I made a video with this audio months ago, but this morning the Lord used it in a completely different way in my heart.

I’ve been learning that change is so often not one dramatic event — it’s a process. And in that process, we don’t have to stare anxiously at how far we still have to go. We get to walk with Jesus today. Then choose Him again tomorrow.

He is the One guiding us, correcting us, molding us, strengthening us, and teaching us as we walk. We can cast our cares on Him instead of carrying fear about our future or wondering whether we’ll ever become who He’s called us to be.

“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” — Philippians 1:6

“The Lord will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever;” — Psalm 138:8

And when our eyes start drifting toward everything that still needs to change, we can fix them back on Jesus.

One day at a time. One act of trust at a time. Keep walking with Him.

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭

Praise God that our hope isn’t in our ability to transform ourselves. Our hope is in Jesus. 🤍🌿

What a night. 🤍

Thank you so much to Long Island CREDO Recovery for hosting the Music Bingo fundraiser!

We got to meet so many people, pray with people, see someone healed, hear testimonies, share what Jesus has done in our own lives, serve wherever we could, and watch a room full of people come together to support those walking through recovery.

And THAT is what made this night so special. 🥹

We’re grateful for every person who stopped by our table, supported TSC, purchased
CREDO’s shirts, shared a conversation with us, or simply came over to say hello.

A huge thank you to Tom, Faith, and everyone involved with CREDO for allowing us to be part of the night, and to everyone who worked behind the scenes to make it happen.

And a special shoutout to Kevin 🤍 From helping with our setup to being by my side throughout the night, I’m so thankful I get to build and serve alongside my husband.

Praying that the money raised continues to help people receive the support they need and, above all, encounter the love, healing, freedom, and hope found in Jesus.

Thank You, Lord, for what You did tonight — including the things we may never get to see. 🌱

Sometimes a familiar verse becomes brand new when we slow down long enough to look at the words. 🤍

I’ve been spending time in Zephaniah 3:17, and I wanted to see what some of these words meant in the original Hebrew. What started as a simple word study became such a beautiful picture of the heart of God.

He is in our midst — at the very center.

He is mighty — powerful, a warrior.

He saves — He delivers, defends, rescues and brings victory.

He rejoices over us — with brightness and cheerfulness.

He rests in His love — His affection toward us is not something He is anxiously reconsidering or struggling to maintain.

And then the verse ends with this incredible picture of God rejoicing over His people with singing and triumph. 🌿

What especially stopped me was the word simchah, translated “joy.” Strong’s includes blithesomeness in its definition. I had never heard that word before 😂, so naturally I looked it up.

It carries this idea of lightheartedness, merriment and cheerfulness — the kind of delight that makes you want to skip or dance.

And this verse is describing God’s joy over His people.

That made me sit with this Scripture differently.

Sometimes we can read a verse so quickly that we understand the sentence without ever stopping to consider the picture God is giving us of Himself. Word studies have been helping me slow down, meditate on His Word, and let the truth actually settle into my heart.

So swipe through and study Zephaniah 3:17 with me. 📖🌿

And maybe don’t rush through it.

Sit with the words.

Look at who He says He is.

Look at how He describes His love.

And receive it. 🤍

Which word from this verse stood out to you the most?

I’m learning that meditating on the Word isn’t about trying harder to make Scripture “stick.” 🤍

It’s giving the Lord my attention, returning to His Word throughout the day, believing what He says, and trusting Him to reveal truth and transform my mind.

I don’t have to manufacture revelation. I can sit with Him, listen, receive, and be expectant. 🌱

Today I’m meditating on 2 Timothy 1:7 — reminding myself again and again of what God says is already true.

And apparently a chicken wing analogy helped me understand this. 😂

Still learning. Still practicing. Still letting Him teach me. 🤍

What Scripture are you meditating on right now?

08/10/2026

I’ve been reminded lately that time with the Lord doesn’t always have to look like accomplishing something. 🤍

Sometimes it’s opening His Word, sitting with what He says, asking questions, listening, and allowing truth to settle into your heart before rushing on to the next thing.

There is so much fruit that comes from abiding. We don’t have to manufacture it — we get to remain in Him and let Him do the work in us. 🌿

Praying this week holds sweet, unhurried moments with Jesus for you. May His Word strengthen you, encourage you, and remind you who He is. 🤍

I felt led to share this month’s newsletter here for anyone who may need this message. 🤍

Lately, the Lord has been reminding me that His Word isn’t simply something we’re meant to read or gain knowledge from—it’s a place where we get to know Him.

This month I wrote about Bible journaling, Psalm 139, learning to let God’s Word speak louder than our feelings, and something the Lord has been teaching me about slowing down and allowing Scripture to become a conversation with Him. 🌿

One of the thoughts I keep coming back to is this:

His presence has never depended on my feelings.

There may be days when we don’t feel close to God or understand what He’s showing us, but His Word remains true. He has not left us. And we can keep coming to Him, asking questions, listening, learning, and allowing Him to reveal who He is through His Word.

If this is something the Lord has been speaking to you about too, I wanted to make the full letter available here. 🤍📖

You can read it here: https://www.thesowercollection.com/campaigns/view-campaign/Qlr3QFfts_ufW22xLHZdScr-wU3YNXkwnAJCiGKmGW4gk_sb4Hw0OkP3ZvsA4fkIGeeSP3HWDQpI-GwyluqWotl3oKexwvTy

Praying it encourages someone to open their Bible today—not out of obligation, but simply to spend time getting to know its Author. 🌱

In my first Bible, I used to read through Scripture, highlight what stood out to me, and use the margins as a space to journal—turning what I'd highlighted into a prompt for conversation with the Lord.

Just reminding myself of the truth. 🤍

Our right standing with God was never built on our performance. It was purchased by Jesus.

Because of His sacrifice, we can come boldly before God—not because we earned our way into His presence, but because Jesus made the way.

And something the Lord has been changing in my heart is this: if I want to love people the way He does, I can’t look at them merely according to the flesh. I want to remember what Jesus saw when He looked at them—someone worth giving His life for.

His sacrifice changes the way we see God, the way we see ourselves, and the way we see one another. 🤍

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” — Hebrews 4:16
