Join us for Front Porch Series - Week 2 featuring Chris Miller/Clint Ward Duo! We are so excited to have them performing THIS Thursday!

Chris Miller (accordions, vocals and fiddle) and Clint Ward (fiddle and vocals) are a local southwest Louisiana duo heavily influenced by the Cajun, Zydeco, and Creole styles of the area. Chris and Clint have been playing music together for over 20 years in the Louisiana French Music band “Chris Miller and Bayou Roots.” This two/piece ensemble is branching into a scaled down versions that concentrate on the more obscure renditions of the music not as often heard of in the area. From Cajun fiddle tunes, to zydeco breakdowns, to Creole waltzes, you are in for a surprise from this duo. Whether it’s a good Cajun folklore story, or explanations and translations of some of the songs you will hear, or perhaps a “twin fiddle inspired two step,” Chris and Clint will make sure to get your feet stomping and your partners dancing while drinking your favorite beverage in the neighbors front yard. This week’s event will take place on Mary Le & Mitchell Wood's front porch located at 516 Hodges St. from 5:30 - 7:30PM 🏡

Join us for Front Porch Series - Week 2 featuring Ruth Marshall! We are so excited to have her performing THIS Thursday!

Ruth Marshall started singing with her sisters when she was a kid, and on from there she started writing her own music, recording, and performing locally. Her performance is intended to invoke deep feelings and a sense of peace, while sending a message to the crowd through the carefully picked songs she uses to represent herself. She intends to empathize with the crowd through her melancholic tunes, both covers and originals.
