Artisans & Farmers Market, 8am till 2pm. 1st Saturdays / text 337-212-2091. Located in Sunset, LA in 2 vintage barns! Sunset Antique Market is a unique picker's paradise located inside of the old antique sweet potato warehouses in Sunset, Louisiana. The market started in 2007 when, realtor, Vincent Nicholson was asked to sell the fifty+ year old sweet potato farm that belonged to a man named P
at Richard. After several offers, to purchase only a portion of the property, Mr. Pat was never satisfied with breaking up the property. So, he decided to offer it to Vince at a reduced price. After some further thought, Vincent decided to go through with buying the three of sweet potato warehouses, along with all the property. Eventually, after having some success with an outdoor farmers & flea market, Vince eventually created an indoor market, in the red barn and the business grew. In 2010, with business booming, Vince decided to use both the grey and red warehouse space for his antique market. Today, both warehouses, with over 10,000 square feet of antiques, are filled with unique vendor booths that sell antiques, collectibles, specialty art, and much more. Now, thanks to the support of the Sunset Antique Market has received, Vince wants to begin a new tradition in Sunset, an outdoor market called Sunset Outdoor Farmers Market.
