I am a mom of 3. I am a mom a special needs child. I am a teacher. I am a coach. I am BUSY! But I love being creative and making things with my own two hands. I love problem solving. I love making others happy. I started Nickel and Hawk Custom Creations as an outlet. I needed something to keep my brain and hands busy. But it has been so much more as well. After 20 years, our military life is coming to an end. SMSgt Mathew Hochstein will be retiring December 13. This also means that our family will be relocating and headed HOME. We are sad to announce the Nickel and Hawk will be closing (at least temporarily) once an offer is accepted on our current home. We have loved being part of all of your special moments. You have allowed us to be part of your families, told us secrets bo one else knew, and trusted us to make your family trips even more memorable. We will let you know what the future of Nickel and Hawk will be as soon as we know. Thank you sincerely from the bottom of our hearts!

Sewing? I guess I do that too! My friend Nate couldnt go to the ball in his rags his wife makes him wear when he is cleaning the house all day. These have been a secret project for over a year. Hawk was supposed to go to Korea then he got an exception then he was going again and now he is retiring. So I guess I just finished them anyway! Each of the kids and I picked out a fabric to personalize our daddy doll.
