I get a lot of questions and concerns about the longevity and quality of my designs once pressed on to a garment.
I use one type of transfer for the most part when I press designs, and those are DTF transfers (Direct to Film).
These DTF transfers. Unlike the DTG method (Direct to Garment) which only works on cotton fabrics, my DTF transfers can work on both cotton and poly blends.
In DTF printing, the image is transferred using transfer paper, where as sublimation, the solid is converted to gas immediately without passing through the liquid state.
I outsource these DTF sheets once I send out my design, to companies that own these $15k printers. This is one of the only things I outsource besides the actual garment because of the quality and longevity these designs last once pressed.
Here at Frontlab, quality is always at the forefront. I pressed, washed, dried and threw these garments into intensive quality testing techniques before deciding to go with this method to make sure every single person is pleased with not only the design but the quality of the entire garment itself!
