Sometimes bad things happen..
I don’t know why but today while I was helping a friend with a market set up (no I wasn’t at freighthouse) my window was smashed in..

I seen this today posted by Celebrity Cake studios who also had a break in yesterday morning and it really stuck with me and it stands true with me too.

“May you find comfort from whatever pain that has caused you to inflict pain on others. May you wake up to realize that you need to take a better path forward- that what you do to others you have done to yourself.
May peace find you. May you have a life of ease and grace.”

With all this being said I am taking a couple days off (today and tomorrow) to recoup and get my stuff figured out. I’ll be back Wednesday normal time.

They paint the murals that adorn our beautiful city.
They build the iconic structures that define our skyline.
They carry on traditions and keep the flame of history alive.
They push through boundaries and pave the way for future generations.
They pilot the ships that carry our goods.
They sing songs that inspire us.
They care for our injured and protect our vulnerable.
They own our favorite stores and restaurants.
They run our favorite venues.
They write thoughtful poems and breaking news.
They expose injustice and hold accountable those in power.

They work twice as hard for half as much and they are deserving of all the respect and admiration that has been kept from them.

Since we started this magazine we’ve met so many incredible women; too many to list here.

Women's History Month is an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. It is celebrated during March in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, corresponding with International Women's Day on March 8, and during October in Canada, corresponding with the celebration of Persons Day on October 18.

The commemoration began in 1978 as "Women's History day" in Sonoma County, California, and was championed by Gerda Lerner and the National Women's History Alliance to be recognized as a national week (1980) and then month (1987) in the United States, spreading internationally after that.
