What started as an old newspaper box is now Underground Sound Box No. 1.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve been transforming it into something entirely new—a custom zine dispenser created exclusively for our friends at The Hob Nob. 💚
A huge thank you to Steve Haverly for lending his incredible craftsmanship, creativity, and many hours of hard work to help bring this vision to life.
This first box is a tribute to the original 1970s “Spaceman” costume worn by KISS guitarist Ace Frehley. Every star, angle, and sheet of brushed metal was thoughtfully designed to capture the bold, theatrical spirit that inspired generations of rock fans. ⭐
This is just the beginning…
Our vision is to rescue forgotten newspaper boxes and give them a second life as one-of-a-kind Underground Sound Boxes, each celebrating an artist, musician, actor, or cultural icon whose creativity helped shape the world around us.
The Hob Nob has been part of the Underground Sound family since the very beginning, so it felt like the perfect home for Box No. 1.
