JULY 2026 🍪+🌷+🍅
Our focus shifts to raising the funds needed to stock TFP Cafe. We already have our bombastic list, we just need the funding to bring it to life. If it goes well, we hope to add a drive thru and make it a 24/7 safe space.
July is also dedicated to completing our Food Forest.
This project has always been about more than growing food. We're creating an educational, community-centered space that demonstrates how beautiful, productive, and sustainable landscapes can be. We also plan to use the food forest to provide consistent food plants for the plant exchange.
This summer we'll be:
* Adding more fruit trees, edible shrubs, and perennial food crops
* Expanding our herb and medicinal plant gardens
* Planting additional native species that support pollinators and wildlife
* Creating habitat for beneficial insects and other important ecosystem partners
* Installing a waterfall feature and water source designed to attract dragonflies and other beneficial insects
* Improving pathways throughout the space
* Creating gathering areas for classes, workshops, and community events
* Building educational components so visitors can learn about edible plants, native species, pollinators, and sustainable gardening practices
* Strengthening the ecosystem so the food forest becomes more self-sustaining, diverse, and productive over time
Our vision is to create a thriving ecosystem where food, flowers, wildlife, pollinators, and people can coexist. We want the Food Forest + Cafe to be a place where visitors can slow down, learn something new, find inspiration, and experience firsthand how intentional gardening and 3rd spaces can support both people and nature.
