My dad on Father’s Day.

He was a father to all of his children, a grandfather to all of his grandchildren, and a great-grandfather to all of his great-grandchildren. He spent 40 years serving as a steward at his Methodist church, 38 years in the fire department, and 4 years in the Army serving his country during the Korean War.

No one could ask for a better patriot, a better father, a better teammate, or a better Christian. My dad set the bar that I constantly strive to reach.

As we celebrate Father’s Day and remember him since his passing last July, I’m grateful for the example he set through a life of service, faith, sacrifice, and love. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the community he served, and the values he instilled in all of us.
