Giving opportunity for a Tampa Police Department family that has suffered so much:

Michael Montague of Tampa Police Department has passed on due to cancer on March 10. He was a young man - he passed on at the age of 33. He left behind, among others, a wife, stepdaughter, and an unborn baby boy, Michael Jr.

Michael grew up here in Tampa: he went to University of South Florida Research, worked at Busch Gardens and became a Tampa Police Officer eleven years ago. He loved being a cop and protecting our community.

He left behind a wife and children, including a son he never got to meet. His family needs help.

The Tampa Police Benevolent Association - Tampa PBA is doing a fundraising effort to help the family. Here is the link to give. I ask that you give whatever you can:

Happy 250th Birthday to the U.S. Army ⭐

On this day in 1775, the Continental Congress established the Continental Army to fight for American independence. What began as a determined band of patriots has grown into the world’s most capable fighting force, with Soldiers serving with courage, honor, and strength across the globe.

Today, Operation Healing Forces celebrates this remarkable legacy with the Soldiers who continue to serve and those who once wore the uniform. It is an honor to stand with you on this milestone anniversary!

Today is the 81th Anniversary of D-Day
On June 6, 1944, more than 160,000 Allied troops landed along a 50-mile stretch of heavily fortified French coastline, to fight N**i Germany on the beaches of Normandy, France. Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower called the operation a crusade in which, “we will accept nothing less than full victory.” More than 5,000 Ships and 13,000 aircraft supported the D-Day invasion, and by day’s end, the Allies gained a foot-hold in Continental Europe. The cost in lives on D-Day was high. More than 9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded, but their sacrifice allowed more than 100,000 Soldiers to begin the slow, hard slog across Europe, to defeat Adolf Hitler’s crack troops.
“You are about to embark on the great crusade toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you… I have full confidence in your courage, devotion to duty and skill in battle. – Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower
