One of the extraordinary pieces sold from today’s show 🤍
I was so proud of how the show came together and so grateful for all the love on it!
We are currently fighting Whatnot glitches and show time change adjustments so it can be easy to fall into discouragement, but when I see over 200 items sold, hundreds of people stopping in, and the community sending their support…it puts things into perspective.
We are so blessed by you 🤍 onward & upward together!

Everything starts at $1.

I take this calling seriously.

Preservation is always the goal. These objects have survived generations, and whenever possible, I want to honor that history by keeping them intact, restoring what can be restored, and placing them with someone who will care for them next.

But preservation doesn’t always mean keeping an object whole at any cost. Sometimes the damage is too extensive. Sometimes restoration would cost far more than the piece could ever support. And sometimes saving what can be saved is the most respectful option left.

This enormous 1890 Finnish Bible came to me with its binding failed, its spine gone, and its extraordinary Gustave Dore engravings at risk of being lost along with it. Taking it apart was not a decision I made lightly.

But I would rather see these engravings preserved, framed, studied, displayed and appreciated for another hundred years than watch the entire book continue to deteriorate on a shelf.

Dealing in antiques means I get to be a temporary steward of things that existed long before me and, hopefully, will exist long after me. Sometimes that stewardship requires making the hard call.

Today we started our transition to weekly morning shows so that we can hopefully carve out afternoons with our kids as family time now that school is back in session. With that new change come the nerves, wondering if we are making a big mistake.
But our people showed up for us. We even had over 30 first time buyers. Not only that, but we happened to set a record for highest sold item with this incredible alabaster bust.
Taking risks is scary, but when it’s for the sake of your family, your health, your spirit, it’s more than worth it. Our time is the most precious thing we have, isn’t it?
Thank you a lovely show, kindred spirits!

Finding myself very drawn to the acorn motif especially as of late. As a symbol of growth and transformation, it really aligns with what I’ve been experiencing spiritually.
I find so much inspiration in the potential stored in such a tiny shell, one that transforms into the giant of strength and stability that is a mighty oak.
Here’s to big things starting in the teeniest of places, the smallest of decisions. Every one we make counts.
