Shorts and purse are finished! Leaves by Vanessa Tassy. Upcycled jeans turned into a fitting purse. I used the bottom of the jeans as the finished top edge and one of the back pockets as an inside pocket. Made some piping to resemble a rope and presto!

Most likely coming soon: random finishing touches that probably don’t need to be made 😂.

Sometimes I must admit that my level of ridiculous is astonishing. Most people won’t notice this small tear on the tulle but I am convinced this would be visible from outer space. Leaving me no choice but to find a way to fix it. 🙄🙄

Edit to clarify that I did fix it. I made a small embroidery and I colored it accordingly which is why when I hold it up, you can’t see it anymore.

I’m trying to do better at sharing progress. If you know me, you know two things about me. First, I am in and out of social media where I will post a lot for a little while and then disappear. And the second is, that when I plan a project, the end result is more often than not different than what I planned. So staying true to myself, I changed my mind on the skirt thanks to a night of wine, snacks, and chat with my new BFF. She had this brilliant idea. So this is 100% to her credit.

But all those leaves we made are not going to waste. I am going to attach them to the Crossbody bag that I will make.

Behind on posting but what else is new?

I cut out the foundation fashion fabric and attached it at the top. I had to skip ahead to closure because to make sure everything is smooth and in place, I need to be able to put it on my dress form which means some hand sewing is on the way soon.
