Out of respect and in honor of the anniversary of my late husband Daniel’s passing, our store will be closed today at 2 PM through Tuesday as our family takes this time to remember, grieve, and honor him together.

This Sunday at 2:14 PM, we will be gathering under the Tarentum Bridge, where Daniel Jr. created a memorial for his dad in remembrance of a special place where Daniel used to take him fishing as a child. We’ll be toasting with his favorite whiskey, Jameson, and remembering the man we love and miss every single day

It may seem unusual to gather under a bridge, but for many, it has become a place of remembrance and reflection for loved ones lost, filled with memorials and memories left behind.

In memory of Daniel, we are also continuing to advocate for su***de awareness and prevention. We are sharing the fundraiser below for those who would like to support this cause and help bring awareness, hope, and help to others who may be struggling in silence.

Your love, support, and understanding mean more than words can say. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts during this difficult time. ❤️

I am Melanie’s Mom. I just want to say Thank You to the customers who have continued to support us throughout this past year😢
As May 31 approaches, our family is once again preparing for an incredibly difficult time. It will mark two years since Melanie’s husband and the children’s father tragically took his own life.

While time moves forward, grief and trauma do not always heal in the way people expect. For Melanie and the children, there are still many days when the pain feels just as overwhelming as it did in the beginning. Mental health struggles and traumatic loss continue to affect our family deeply.

Over the past two years, we have done our best to continue serving our customers while also supporting one another through unimaginable circumstances. There have been days when we have opened late or needed to close unexpectedly, or didn’t open at all, and we understand how disappointing or inconvenient that may be for those who support our business.

We simply ask for patience, understanding, and compassion during those moments. Behind our doors is a family doing its very best to navigate grief, healing, and the emotional challenges that come with such a profound loss.

To everyone who has continued to support our small business, offer kind words, and extend grace to our family — thank you. Your support means more than we can adequately express, and it has helped carry us through some of our darkest days. And it’s also alright not to say anything. 

We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we keep moving forward one day at a time. And just know.. we will be back to full open hours very soon💞
