For her wedding last October, Lauren chose to modify her mother’s wedding gown into a rehearsal dress. I loved her passion about wearing her mom’s dress, but she was conflicted on just how to do it. We began by removing what was unappealing, and keeping what Lauren loved. I am a passionate, full service seamstress with over 45 years of experience, specializing in Bridal alterations, restorations and redesign. Bridal work includes alterations on your new wedding gown as well as repairing or redesigning an heirloom or second hand gown. I am committed to the process of making your vision a reality.

I learned to sew my first garment when I was 12 years old, literally sitting at my mother’s side and learning from her. She was a master of precise work and detailed instruction. Her love for the craft and her love for her daughter began a love in me, and it just kept growing. Basics grew into skill and skill into passion. My affection for wedding gowns began early, and I made my first wedding dress when I was 19 years old. I have had the privilege of transforming gowns and crafting perfect fits for many brides over the years. Let me do the same for you!

From necklines to hemlines, to removing or adding details, from reducing or increasing waistlines, to completely redesigning or modernizing, I can provide the skill and vision needed to make your gown the gown of your dreams.
