In House Accountant.
T Shirt1 has an immediate opening for a degreed accountant. This high visibility position will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis including pro formas, tax management and compliance, payroll, accounts payable, recording customer comments and reviews, separate and track revenue streams and insuring compliance with all local, state and federal filings. TS1 uses Sage/Peachtree as our accounting software and are not interested in switching.
This position will also interface with our international clientele to ascertain their wants, provide written quotes and follow up if necessary. Converting quotes to invoices and arranging prepayment of orders (no receivables on the books) is also a part. You will also deal directly with clients of Arab, Dutch, English, French, Spanish or US origins.
TS1 is a wholesaler and supplier to tropical tourist apparel and merchandise clients. Our competitors are in China, India, Pakistan and mainland USA. Our product quality is as good, if not better, than theirs but what sets us apart is our customer service. We are professionals, here to work with our clients to make their experience seamless and transparent. You will be working directly with our clients to make this possible. Their shelf space is earned with every order we produce. You will learn FedEx and USPS international shipping and how to reconcile their accounts. You will learn Customs and what it takes to clear them in different island nations. You will be supported by three professionals with over seventy five years combined experience at TS1.
Overall it is an interesting position. It is fast paced, challenging and there are a lot of moving parts. It is designed to be the hub of our operation. Along with a degree you must bring a positive mental attitude and the ability in interface with employees and customers. The international aspect keeps things interesting. Your days will not be boring. This is a long term salaried position with a privately owned, financially solid small business. Please don't be afraid to share this.
