I (Melissa) have a lot to show all my old school and new supporters. Thank you for sticking with me through this unpredictable, crazy, emotional journey. I can’t wait to show you what we have in store!

We will make sure our visions are seen and messages are heard and properly executed. We will work smarter and better to fulfill our mission of bringing awareness to the needs of our Children in NYC Foster Care. They are our future leaders, in the meantime we are theirs.

Nothing but setbacks on my end. Placed an order for some samples from a manufacturer to get merch ready for April’s pop-up and look what they send me. They insist it’s a part of the “sample” process. They just wanted to make sure sizing and material was right and they will work out ash the other kinks. It’s infuriating for be to even hear such an excuse. So I’m supposed to spend hundreds of dollars for samples that I can’t even use for a photo session for my website? So you can work out the kinks?!?! Miss me with the bulls**t. This is not my first rodeo — I know how this works! 🤬🤬

I apologize in advance for the TMI. But I felt it necessary to be as open and transparent with you all as possible. First and foremost, I need to thank you for even giving me the time and opportunity to tell you some more about me!

While Covid has been the cause of so many deaths and concerns these late couple of years, the Pandemic has really managed to affect me in so many other ways. The lock down triggered so much anxiety and put me in a severe depressive state. I was in a dark place. I also lost friend’s, family (most of the losses were not Covid related btw) but the losses were significant and detrimental to my life, mindset and well being.

I was stuck in my head, and I’m not even sure how I managed to overcome my terrible thoughts but I did!

I found myself having suicidal ideations. That’s how bad it was for me — but I got through it. My daughter, my friends, my family, purpose kept my here!!

It took me a minute to understand the importance of my situation on a personal level and my goals with Villager. They correlate heavily!!

I struggled with my mental health for quite some time while attempting to pretend I was okay! I wasn’t. I seriously had suicidal ideations!!!

I knew those thoughts had no right in my head. While I had lived with depression and anxiety for a significant portion of my life, I knew that my anxiety had no right to control me!

However, I allowed it all to stop me from moving forward. NO MORE!

I have my eyes on the prize!! I see it!! It’s within reach. I just need to keep pushing!!

Happy 2’s Day!!!

Going to celebrate today by giving away 2 hats..

Anyone who sees this, like the post, tag a friend and if you’re not already, follow us!! We will allow likes, tags and follows up until 2:22pm tomorrow. That’s right, we’re extending 2’s day!

Had to see a therapist, then I found out
