The is done. for the win. It’s actually 2 junior jellyrolls of in grunge and I threw in some black and StarWars strips. Total of 70 strips sewn in 2 separate sections of 35 will yield a roomy quilt. After the I hit a block. The Death Star would have been lost if put on the front, soooooo it’s in the backside. I hope the recipient likes it. This kid has no clue. One of our bee members learned about this sweet family in need at her church. This is one of 9 quilts being made by a small quilt bee for kids that could use a bit of love and uplifting.

425 inches of quilt binding made from garment scraps. I was given about 20 T-Shirts and along with other garments to create a T-Shirt quilt. After piecing the quilt top, it was evident that the binding needed to be made from, literally, the scraps from the scraps. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. Since the quilt became so big (am I the only one this happens to?), it was a no brainer that I will do a quick machine close of the binding. After sewing one side of the quilt binding to the back side, the quilting ancestors said “hell no, take out that machine stitch and finish the binding by hand. Finished size 100 in x 105 in Check out the historic quilts of to see awesome beauty.

Finally finishing up this for a client. When you receive and a t shirt that says “I Got Soul”, and a variety of colored and textured fabrics, I knew there would be no way I would be returning a basic quilt. I’ll show finished product soon. yep, there’s a difference 🤷🏽‍♀️
