Before August is over, I want to talk about my favorite project this month.
NOWERITP is available on Audible and Amazon now!
I got to do the post production for the audiobok for No one was ever really in this place by Mike Salt and I wanted to share my thoughts because WOW.
Phil Thron narrated this audiobook and the way he brought Felix to life through the up, downs, panic attacks, grief etc. was incredible, but having listened to many of his audiobooks (work and not) Phil never fails to bring a story to life.
According to everyone around him, Felix is a chill shy guy who keeps to himself, he doesn't go out to the world to try to make friends, doesn't really take any risks, and follows an extremely strict routine that help his intense panic attacks (sometimes). As the book progresses you learn about Felix in such a way that really allows you to empathize with him, which makes this one of my favorite characters that I've ever read. he's so real, so relatable, yet so tragic. Even if your background isn't similar.
I would say anyone who has ever felt depression to some extent, but specially to a severe extent would really like this book. I had never experienced an author writing depression like this, it's gut wrenching but not romanticizing it, and it's so so very real.
I went into this book completely blind, and the first thing I wanted to do after finishing it (other than crying myself to sleep) was ask Mike Salt if he was okay 😂
anyways sorry for the long post, I've never reviewed anything in my life.
