If you’ve seen me this week you know I probably looked rough! 😩😩 It was by far the toughest week I’ve had in a long time. Post Prom business has been crazier than Prom season itself. I dropped the ball on a pretty good record of customer satisfaction. I wish I could be #1, but I’m not.
I’m like many other small business owners trying to make it, offering services that are helpful to the community and build relationships, good ones.
And every small business owner will tell you, there’s always a few that slip through the cracks when it’s critical. This was my turn. My turn to try my best and it just wasn’t good enough. My turn to feel like closing up shop and feeling defeated and beat myself up before anyone else can. It was my turn to face a reality that other micro small business owners face when they just feel like crap and that their name is now Mud and no one will ever come back.
Small business owners have heart ❤️ we have resilience- we work HARD for those who call and walk through our doors. We care! We are not big business, not coorporate, not passing the buck to another dept to displace blame. We are not complacent, not lazy, not here to make people mad. We work HARD!!! We do our absolute best for everyone- why?? Because our livelihood depends on them, on you! NEVER would we want to let you down!
So, when you have interaction and business with us, please know there’s so much more that goes on behind the scenes, behind the mask of smiles and asking ‘How YOU are doing?’ We sometimes are fighting back tears, fighting being able to pay ourselves because the business always come first, we’re fighting to have with our families because we work long hours, we’re fighting back not sharing all of our grief with you when you come in because we need a shoulder to lean on…
I’ll end with this: Thank you for letting me into your heart. Thank you for supporting me and understanding why I needed to write this… most times I don’t like to share because the more you share the more people criticize. Thank you for helping small business!
