It was just too gorgeous of a morning not to want to visit this park and check out the view.
I also have a hard time each time we visit this place.
It holds a lot of fun memories of both Luna and Apollo as they used to go crazy at this place.
Before it became what you see now it was a huge rolling hill with lots of holes for critters.
They used to smell, pounce and dig for as long as possible.
They would go crazy for this place.
Then it was shut down for years while the city made this into a reservoir.
This park is very beautiful today but not as sniff worthy.
Sadly there was a fire the other evening at the end of our trail walk and all of it breaks my heart.

Sometimes you just need a break from your routine and have conversations with people who love and understand you the most.
I have known since I was a very young girl that I had a sense of justice in me.
When I got scolded or in trouble at school it was because I was sticking up against the bully, or against “cheaters” on the playground, or against the women in our apartment building that yelled at other kids and dogs and one day I let her have it with my words.
It’s also because when you’re a person who was taken advantage of or victimized you see the patterns and signs before many others in the room.
You also tend to call it out while many stare at you as though you’ve committed the crime.
I know. I’ve been there, done that and I wouldn’t change a thing.
I’m always going to fight for the underdog, oppressed, victimized human and creature.
I believe it’s always been my calling.
So, I’m going to stay in this lane and stay true to my core values and share what makes me authentically me.

Just landed yesterday afternoon in SF to a gorgeous sunny clear sky and the loud rumbling of F18’s.
While it’s always an awe striking sight to watch these planes I view them all differently now than I would even 10 years ago.
I’m impressed by the skill of the pilots and the amount of courage it takes to fly these beasts of an aircraft and I also see these same planes as vehicles for destruction.
I honestly just wish they were used just for the sake of entertainment. However, we know it’s a symbol and a tool for war and destruction.
So while I’ll appreciate the craft I know there is an inherent cost to too many around this globe.

Making lives better for all in our community has always been my number one priority.
One of the many ways we do that is representation.
It matters at all levels of our government.
This will be my focus this next month and once in a while I’ll throw in some styling and thrifting tips.
We need to be the last guardrail to Authoritarianism and voting is that rail.
Stay informed and stay vigilant my friends.
