It took me a while after becoming a new mom to find my groove and routine with baby girl. It's hard. Its new. Your entire life and how you go about your days have changed and the adjustment is tough!
Taking care of YOU can mean so many things. It's whatever makes you feel good. Whatever helps you stay sane and grounded. What makes me feel good is going on at least a 30 minute walk twice a day with my girl to get my heart rate up, lifting weights 3x a week to keep my strength and muscle tone, taking a lavender bubble bath, meditating, listening to soothing music and lots of other things.
It doesn't HAVE to be physical activity, even though that's obviously great for heart health and strength. It just means keeping yourself in check and your mental state at bay so that we can be our best selves to our babies. On the flip side, we're not perfect. We can have off days too. That's okay! You just have to feel it, acknowledge it and move on π€
